Sir Saint and the Saintsations join Entergy Mississippi's Darron Case in congratulating Ray Vaughn, Lineman of the Game, for the Nov. 1 Saints-Giants game at the Superdome.

Vaughn, a serviceman based out of Rolling Fork, was honored as Lineman of the Game at a wild shootout between the Saints and the New York Giants that set an NFL record for combined touchdown passes. The Saints ultimately won, 52-49, with 10 seconds on the clock and more than 73,000 screaming fans in the stands.

Vaughn and his wife Quanda celebrated in style, flanked by Saints’ mascots Gumbo and Sir Saint, and a bevy of Saintsation cheerleaders. It was all part of the companywide lineman recognition program.

“Ray was chosen for his unbroken dedication to his family and for his dedication of 38 years of service to our company,” said Johnny Edwards, Entergy Mississippi line supervisor and Ray’s boss. “Ray is and has been a good role model for those who’ve followed in his line of work. He has always led by example to prove if you set your mind to it, you can succeed and conquer the obstacles that are in your way.”

“Ray is a good person with a good attitude who’s always willing to help a friend or someone in need,” he added. “He’s the type of person that all companies would hope to have as an employee or coworker.”
