Motorists Urged to Drive Cautiously in Work Areas

Conroe, Texas – Contract crews working for Entergy Texas, Inc. are keeping their focus on Conroe with two 2015 projects down and a third underway.

Crews began work last week on a power line originating from the Lacon Substation on Longstreet Road. The nearly 35 mile-long power line serves 913 customers in an area north of Longstreet Road from Highway 75 to Shepard Hill Road.

Workers will be close to roadways during the two-month project, so customers are urged to be alert drive cautiously in those areas.

While crews will be in highly-visible bucket trucks, customers can expect to see specialized equipment in the area, plus crews working manually to remove vegetation.

Entergy Texas invests about $7 million per year in its vegetation management program, trimming an average of 2,000 line miles annually.
