Entergy Arkansas May 5 storm update – 5/6/22, 9 a.m.

05/06/2022

A little more than 2,000 Entergy Arkansas customers were without power Friday morning, following severe weather that impacted the state Wednesday through Thursday. Crews restored approximately 14,000 power interruptions over the course of the storms, which reached a peak of 8,570 at 6:45 p.m. Thursday.

More than 60 poles were damaged or destroyed based on initial assessments, with heavier damages in the southern and eastern portions of the state, especially near Eudora, Magnolia, McGehee and Stuttgart.

Most customers will be restored by 10 p.m. tonight at the latest, although many should be back on by noon. Those who will have later restoration times have been notified.

Entergy uses a very methodical process to restore power once it is safe to do so. More information is available here - www.entergynewsroom.com/storm-center/restoration/.
