Entergy scored 100 on the 2019 Disability Equality Index, classifying the company as one of the best places to work for people with disabilities.

"We are proud to be disability-inclusive and recognized as a Best Place to Work by the Disability Equality Index," said Drew Marsh, executive vice president and chief financial officer. "Having an inclusive and diverse workforce is a key enabler for creating a healthy organization, it drives innovation and it makes our company perform better. And, most importantly, it is the right thing to do."

The DEI is an annual benchmarking tool that scores businesses on a scale of zero to 100 on their disability inclusion policies and practices. Companies scoring 80 and above are classified by the index as best places to work for people with disabilities.

The 2019 DEI represents 180 companies with a combined workforce of more than 8.6 million employees across 28 business sectors, including financial services, technology, insurance and health care.

The index measured inclusion criteria, including: culture and leadership, enterprise access, employment practices (benefits, recruitment, employment, education, retention, advancement and accommodations), community engagement and supplier diversity.

Companies that champion disability inclusion significantly outperform their peers across key financial indices including revenue, net income, profit margins and shareholder returns.
