Entergy Louisiana Receives Capital Area United Way’s Top Volunteer Awards

06/15/2018

Entergy Louisiana recently received the Capital Area United Way’s top awards for volunteerism and support. Ashley Pitts, a planning and scheduling coordinator in Baton Rouge, won the 2018 Volunteer Income Tax Assistant Outstanding Volunteer Award and Entergy Louisiana received the Partner of the Year Award.

Each year during tax season, Entergy employees are among a team of trained volunteers who provide free, personalized assistance on tax returns at VITA centers in Louisiana and throughout Entergy’s service area. They ensure qualifying customers claim the Earned Income Tax Credit on what has become known as Super Tax Day.
