Entergy Louisiana Teams with Capital Area United Way to Supply Coats for Kids

12/12/2018

Hundreds of children in the Baton Rouge community received new coats for winter thanks to Entergy Louisiana and the Capitol Area United Way.

Entergy Louisiana and the CAUW met at the College Drive Wal-Mart in November to “Pack the Pod” with 250 brand new coats as part of Pat's Coats for Kids.

"Our goal is to keep everyone warm and safe this winter — especially the children here at home," said Will Johnson, customer service representative. "We are happy to partner with the Capital Area United Way to support Pat's Coats for Kids and look forward to seeing smiles on the faces of the kids who receive a new coat to help keep them warm."

Pat's Coats for Kids has been taking place for 30 years, with close to 250,000 coats purchased and distributed to 125 area schools.

Entergy was a sponsor of Pat's Coats for Kids again this year. Other sponsors and supporters included Coldwell Banker One, Neighbors Federal Credit Union, Baton Rouge Clinic, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Council of Baton Rouge and PODS.
