Entergy Mississippi Winter Storm Update – 2/17/21 @ 8 p.m.

02/17/2021

Vicksburg, Mississippi
Vicksburg, Mississippi

As of 8 p.m. nearly 58,000 customers are without power due to the ongoing ice storm. Most outages are north of a line from Natchez to Brookhaven up to the Jackson metro area and north of Madison and Canton toward Kosciusko.

These outages are not part of a mandatory forced outage. Demand for electricity is still high and customers should continue to conserve electricity. Those who are without power can help in the restoration process by turning off major appliances but leaving on a lamp or other light to indicate when power is restored. Then, gradually turn other appliances to spread out the increase in power usage over a longer time.

Our crews are working to restore power as soon as it is safe to do so. Please keep in mind that weather and road conditions may delay restoration efforts. Thank your for your patience!
