Entergy recently spread some holiday cheer through our annual initiative called "Operation Secret Santa." Lucky first-in-line customers at our Canal Street Customer Care Center got their bills paid through Santa and The Power to Care, which is part of our low-income bill assistance program.

This holiday season, Entergy employees helped spread cheer at The Times-Picayune Doll and Toy Fund annual gift giveaway in New Orleans. Celebrating its 128th year, the event donates toys to thousands of kids and families in need. Entergy has been one of the lead sponsors of this event since 2016.

This year, Entergy’s pro bono team successfully assisted an Afghan refugee family in their pursuit of immigration asylum in the United States.

This year’s Fried Chicken Festival brought together thousands of people around a shared love of great food, music and culture – and amongst many of those festivalgoers were public school educators. As part of Entergy’s ongoing commitment to investing in our communities, we hosted the first-ever complimentary Teacher’s Lounge – an exclusive area at the festival for teachers and staff to enjoy VIP seating, live music, food and drinks.

In the first half of 2023 alone, Entergy Mississippi has provided more than $600,000 in shareholder contributions to organizations across its service area.

The Power to Care program provides emergency bill assistance to older adults and customers with disabilities.

Entergy Arkansas increased corporate contributions by $1.8 million and implemented a series of measures to assist our customers and communities during extreme summer heat and inflation. This included more funding for programs that helped qualified customers pay their electric bills, as well as donations of fans, food, school supplies and energy efficiency kits to help families stretch their monthly budgets.

It’s both inside and outside the classroom that Entergy Arkansas puts a focus on STEAM opportunities! Through the Museum of Discovery, “Girls in STEM” workshops and The Repertory Theatre, we encourage young people to stretch their imaginations and consider the possibilities of a career in any number of fields that will be the jobs of tomorrow.
