09/24/2020
When monster storms ravage cities and towns, destroying the energy grid, an army of restoration workers can be counted on to descend upon the area, working feverishly to rebuild and restore the infrastructure needed to bring a community back to life.
Following Hurricane Laura making landfall near Cameron, Louisiana in the early morning of Aug. 27, Entergy Corporation announced today its utilities have restored power to approximately 910,000 customers who can accept power, or approximately 99% of customers affected by the storm.
As of 10:30 a.m. Sept. 20, 23,854 outages were occurring in Calcasieu and Cameron parishes in Louisiana, down from a peak of approximately 93,000 outages in Southwest Louisiana.
