MISO has issued a public appeal for conservation across the Entergy region from 5 – 10 pm tonight.
Entergy Arkansas is asking all customers – including residential, commercial and industrial – to decrease their electrical usage from 5 to 10 p.m., due to direction from reliability coordinator Midcontinent Independent System Operator regarding critical power shortages.
Mandatory rolling outages took place last night about two hours and affected approximately 60,000 customers across the state, who experienced temporary outages ranging between 11 to 45 minutes.
More ice, sleet and snow could be arriving in Arkansas. Be prepared - again!
While Entergy Arkansas is working hard to address any power problems that occur during this extremely cold weather, customers are asked to also take action to help keep the power flowing.
Crews are working to restore power to customers impacted by the extreme weather conditions.
Energy conservation encouraged as extreme cold continues.
Entergy Arkansas customers are asked to voluntarily reduce their electricity usage, especially between 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today due to the demand for electricity potentially exceeding the available generation.
