Entergy Mississippi is working diligently to restore power to more than 25,000 customers after Sunday night’s severe weather system brought extreme lighting and winds, some over 70 mph.

Afternoon thunderstorms wrecked havoc on the state again, knocking out power to thousands of customers. Entergy Arkansas is working on restoring power, which could take days depending on the severity of damage.

We know those customers who had their power out for several days were frustrated – and we were, too. I can assure our customers that when the power goes out NOBODY wants it to come on faster than the men and women of our company.

Majority of impacted customers restored after severe thunderstorms caused widespread outages Wednesday night.

Crews have successfully restored power to more than 80% of impacted customers.
