Entergy’s storm team has restored power to most customers and plan to have nearly all customers who can safely accept service back online by tonight.

Utility crews are working hard to restore power to the remaining 13,000 customers whose electric service was interrupted following yesterday’s storm.

Entergy’s workforce continues to make progress assessing damage to the electric system and safely restoring power for customers across Louisiana after a strong storm system brought high winds Wednesday morning.

Crews and contractors are assessing damages and working quickly to restore power where it is safe to do so. As of 11 a.m., approximately 73,100 customers in Louisiana were without power as the system was still impacting most of the state with the potential of more weather moving in behind it.

Following the four-day winter weather event impacting our service area, the majority of our customers have been restored.

Crews and contractors are continuing to restore power across our service area and anticipate returning service to the majority of customers who can safely accept it by tonight.

Entergy Louisiana crews and contractors are engaged in all levels of restoration work this morning after a winter storm brought steady winds and freezing rain overnight, causing scattered power outages in the southern portion of the state.

Very cold temperatures, icing and snow have swept across parts of our service area.
