Entergy Texas, Inc. named "Business of the Month" by Port Arthur Chamber of Commerce

A host of blue-jacketed ambassadors from the Port Arthur Chamber of Commerce descended on Entergy Texas, Inc.'s Port Arthur Service Center Feb. 9 to declare the company's selection as "Business of the Month."
In discussing the selection, Paige Snyder, membership director and events coordinator for the chamber, noted that Entergy is a business that often serves in the background because the lights always come on. But, she added, "These guys work hard and it's nice to be recognized."
Members of the chamber's ambassadors, along with Entergy personnel who work at the Port Arthur Service Center, gathered near trucks in the yard for a photograph. It included Ron Fletcher, local customer service representative, and Brenda Clark, administrative assisting, proudly holding the sign and plaque presented to the Port Arthur team.
"We are customer focused," Fletcher said in response to the honor. "Safety is always number one, but we want to make our customers aware that we are part of the community. They can come up to us and ask any question. If we don't have the answer, we'll get back to them."
Fletcher noted the many ways Entergy Texas is involved in the communities it serves, citing memberships on boards such as the Port Arthur Chamber of Commerce, as well as volunteer activities, economic development and charitable contributions.
Following the recognition, Fred Duhamel, line supervisor, and Clark set about finding the appropriate locations to display both the poster-sized announcement and the permanent plaque which is currently in the main meeting area for all employees to see.
