Jobs for America’s Graduates - Partner in the Pandemic Award
Jobs for America’s Graduates honored Entergy with their Partner in the Pandemic Award for the extraordinary leadership and support the company contributed to JAG to help youth and young adults facing significant academic, environmental, economic and social challenges, so they can succeed in their career pursuits. In 2020, Entergy donated $290,000 ($250,000 in annual contributions plus $40,000 to commemorate JAG’s 40th anniversary) to help sustain JAG’s core programs and cover unexpected expenses arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Edison Electric Institute - Emergency Assistance Award and Emergency Recovery Award

Entergy won the 2019 Pro Patria Award from the U.S. Department of Defense’s Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve for promoting supportive work environments for members of the National Guard and reserve. Entergy has once again been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability North America Index. The index measures performance in economic, environmental and social dimensions against industry peers around the globe. Entergy was one of only four U.S. electric utilities named to the index. The company earned top scores in the areas of policy influence, climate strategy, water-related risks and corporate citizenship and philanthropy. This is the 17th consecutive year Entergy has been included on either the World or North America index or both.
U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation Corporate Citizenship Awards Finalist
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation named Entergy a finalist in its 2018 Corporate Citizenship Awards in the "Best Economic Empowerment Program" category. It was the 11th straight year Entergy was named to the magazine’s list.
Disability Equality Index - Top Places to Work for Disability Inclusion
Entergy was recognized as one of the best places to work for people with disabilities by the 2018 Disability Equality Index, a joint initiative of the American Association of People with Disabilities and the U.S. Business Leadership Network. This an annual benchmarking tool scores businesses on their disability inclusion policies and practices in four categories: culture and leadership, enterprise access, employment practices, and community engagement and support services.
The Times-Picayune - Top Workplaces
Entergy was again recognized as one of the best places to work in the greater New Orleans area. The Times-Picayune named Entergy a 2018 Top Workplace based on the results of an employee feedback survey conducted earlier this year. More than 35,000 employees representing 83 companies in the greater New Orleans area were surveyed. They survey measured several workplace attributes, including alignment, execution and connection. The Top Workplaces recognition is based on one simple belief: The most successful companies are the ones that employees believe in.
Points of Light - The Civic 50
For the third consecutive year, Entergy Corporation is recognized as one of the most community-minded companies in the United States by Points of Light, the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer service. The company is included among The Civic 50 in 2018 and ranked number one in integration, which measures how closely a company ties community stewardship to the success of its business objectives.
Edison Electric Institute - Emergency Assistance Award
In recognition of Entergy’s exceptional power restoration efforts following several nor’easters earlier this year, the Edison Electric Institute awarded Entergy with their Emergency Assistance Award. This marks the 21st consecutive year EEI has recognized Entergy employees for their outstanding mutual-assistance work. Entergy is the only utility in the nation to have earned EEI recognition every year since the launch of its Emergency Response Award program. Including this year’s honors, Entergy has received 29 EEI awards for recovery and assistance work.
Arbor Day Foundation - Tree Line USA
The Arbor Day Foundation named Entergy a 2018 Tree Line USA in honor of its commitment to proper tree pruning, planting and care in the provider’s service area. Entergy achieved Tree Line USA by meeting five program standards. Utilities must follow industry standards for quality tree care; provide annual worker training in best tree-care practices; sponsor a tree-planting and public education program; maintain a tree-based energy conservation program; and participate in an Arbor Day celebration.

The Human Rights Foundation has recognized Entergy as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality after the company scored a 100% rating on the foundation’s 2018 Corporate Equality Index. The annual survey rates U.S. corporations on their nondiscrimination policies on sexual orientation and gender identity and serves as the national benchmarking tool on corporate policies and practices pertinent to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees.

Entergy’s Employee Resource Groups ranked 15th among the Association of ERGs & Councils’ 2017’s top 25 U.S. employee and business resource groups and diversity councils. The ERG & Council Honors Award™ is the only annual national award that recognizes and honors the outstanding contributions and achievements of employee and business resource groups and diversity councils. Entergy’s 2017 Disability Equality Index score of 90 has classified the company as one of the best places to work for people with disabilities. Entergy received the maximum points allowed on three of the four categories – culture and leadership, employment practices and enterprise access. Participating in the survey since it was first offered in 2015, Entergy’s initial score was 50 followed by 60 in 2016 and 90 in 2017. Companies scoring 80 and above are classified by the index as best places to work for people with disabilities.

The annual survey rates U.S. corporations on their non-discrimination policies on sexual orientation and gender identity and serves as the national benchmarking tool on corporate policies and practices pertinent to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees.

Including this year’s honors, Entergy has received 26 awards from EEI for its restoration and mutual-assistance work. Entergy remains the only utility company to have won either EEI’s Recovery or Assistance Award, or both, every year since the awards began in 1998.

Corporate Pro Bono Organization - Pro Bono Partner Award
The Corporate Pro Bono Organization presented the 2016 CPBO Pro Bono Partner Award to Entergy, the Orleans Parish Civil District Court and the Louisiana Civil Justice Center for their roles in supporting the Self Help Resource Center. Since 2013, the center has helped more than 8,000 unrepresented low-income and vulnerable domestic court litigants in the Greater New Orleans area. Through Entergy’s leadership, the center has become the first stop for unrepresented individuals struggling with civil and domestic issues in Orleans Parish, with an average of 25 visitors a day.

Sustainability Yearbook Member - RobecoSAM
Entergy Corporation was named a Sustainability Yearbook Member by RobecoSAM, an investment specialist whose annual corporate sustainability assessment examines financially material factors impacting a company’s core business value drivers. To be listed in the yearbook, companies must be within the top 15% of their industry and must achieve a score within 30% of their industry leader’s score. In addition to the companies’ sustainability scores, an examination of media coverage and publicly available stakeholder information is provided. This evaluation of a company’s response to critical sustainability issues also factor into a company’s eligibility for inclusion in the yearbook.

CDP Climate "A" List and Climate Disclosure Leadership Index
Actions to address climate change have landed Entergy on the 2015 Climate "A" List of S&P 500 leaders in climate performance. Entergy is the only U.S. utility included on the list, compiled by CDP. CDP is an international, not-for-profit organization providing the only global system for companies and cities to measure, disclose, manage and share vital environmental information. This is the third consecutive year Entergy has been named to the Climate "A" List. The list identifies companies leading the way to reduce global emissions, mitigate climate change and ensure adaptation and transparency. Entergy was also one of four U.S. utilities named to the CDP U.S. Climate Disclosure Leadership Index. The top 10% of companies assessed are noted for providing comprehensive information about the measurement and management of their carbon footprint, their climate change strategy and risk management processes and outcomes. Since 2008, Entergy has been included on the disclosure index seven times.
Platt’s Global Energy Awards - Corporate Social Responsibility Award Finalist
Entergy was named a finalist for the Corporate Social Responsibility Award in the 2015 Platt’s Global Energy Award competition. The Sustainability Yearbook - RobecoSAM Sustainability Award - Bronze Class
Entergy received a Bronze Class designation for outstanding sustainability performance in the Electric Sector of the 2014 Dow Jones Sustainability Index. Globally there were three companies awarded "Gold Class," four companies awarded "Silver Class" and three companies awarded "Bronze Class." Entergy was the only U.S. Electric Sector Company listed for any of the three classifications. Bronze indicates a score within 5% to 10% of the industry leader. Entergy’s overall score last year was 81 as compared to the Industry Leader’s score of 88. Of the 89 companies within the Electric Sector universe, Entergy placed in the top 10.

The 2015 CEI officially rated a total of 781 businesses; the report evaluates corporate policies and practices relating to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender workplace equality.

U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation - Corporate Citizenship Awards
Entergy was recognized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation for helping low-income customers along the path to economic self-sufficiency through the company’s Super Tax Day program. The program has resulted in $100 million in federal Earned Income Tax Credits returned to approximately 58,000 customers since 2009. The initiative was named as this year’s Best Economic Empowerment program. The award honors American businesses for their strategic and sustained positive impact on people, communities, the environment and society. In 2008, the company was named Overall Corporate Citizen of the Year by the foundation.

The Electric Power Research Institute awarded Entergy an Environment Sector Technology Transfer Award for its participation on a team aimed at determining how changes in technology, fuels and policy could impact future energy supply and demand, environmental regulations and generation resources. EPRI’s Environment Sector Delivery & Applications Committee annually solicits nominations and selects the best projects/programs for individuals and teams making significant achievements in applying specific research results and fostering technology transfer.
CDP S&P 500 Climate Performance Leadership Index and Climate Disclosure Leadership Index
Entergy was recognized as a leader among S&P 500 companies by CDP for its actions to reduce carbon emissions and mitigate the business risks of climate change. The company was also recognized for the depth and quality of climate change data it disclosed to investors and the global marketplace. This was the second consecutive year Entergy achieved a position on CDP’s S&P 500 Climate Performance Leadership Index. This is the 10th time in 11 years the company has been named to CDP’s S&P 500 Climate Disclosure Leadership Index. CDP is an international, not-for-profit organization providing the only global system for companies and cities to measure, disclose, manage and share vital environmental information.
PR News - Platinum PR Awards
Two Entergy public relations campaigns were finalists in the 2014 PR News Platinum PR Awards. One helped raise awareness of the availability of federal Earned Income Tax Credits, resulting in $35 million returned to residents in Entergy’s communities. The other encouraged employee support to the company’s customer assistance program as part of Entergy’s 100th birthday. The customer assistance program allows employees, customers and shareholders to make contributions which help pay electricity bills for low-income, elderly and disabled customers. PR News’ Platinum PR Awards salute the year’s most outstanding communications initiatives and programs and set the industry benchmark for excellence across all areas of public relations.
Site Selection Magazine - Top 10 Utilities in Economic Development
Entergy was named one of the nation’s Top 10 utilities in economic development by Site Selection magazine for its 2013 efforts to help attract nearly $21 billion in projects that could result in as many as 9,200 jobs across its four-state service territory. It was the seventh straight year Entergy’s utilities were named to the magazine’s list.

Noted accomplishments included the team’s role in transferring control of Entergy’s utility transmission system to the MidContinent Independent System Operator Regional Transmission Organization and the group’s emphasis on diversity both in hiring and in preparing women and minorities for leadership roles within the organization.
CR Magazine - 100 Best Corporate Citizens
Entergy Corporation’s responsible and sustainable actions in the areas of corporate governance and finance, environment, employee relations and philanthropy gained the company recognition by Corporate Responsibility Magazine as one of the country’s 100 best corporate citizens. The publication’s 100 Best Corporate Citizens List is the result of an annual assessment of nearly 300 performance indicators of public companies across the United States. Entergy’s top rankings included the areas of climate change and philanthropy, with a first-place ranking in corporate governance. This is the fifth year Entergy has been named to the list.

PR News - Workplace Innovation Award
As part of Entergy’s 100th birthday, the Heartlight campaign was launched to encourage employees to increase contributions to The Power to Care. Through new and increased giving, employees increased contributions to the customer assistance fund from $190,000 in 2012 to $350,000 in 2014. Funds were paired with contributions from customers, retirees and shareholders to ease the energy burden of low-income customers. PR News recognized the program with the Workplace Innovation award.
PR News - Green PR Award
As the environmental sponsor of Super Bowl XVLII, Entergy led the efforts of a community coalition to plan and host the greenest Super Bowl in the NFL history. The online Geaux Green game allowed football fans to commit to personal actions to reduce their environmental footprints. Fans’ small commitments--such as changing conventional light bulbs to energy-efficient light bulbs--combined with other actions during the event resulted in savings of 46 million pounds of greenhouse gas emissions. The initiative scored PR News’ Green PR award.
EPA - ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency named Entergy New Orleans, Inc. a 2014 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award recipient for its outstanding contributions to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by providing energy efficiency education and programs to its customers.
Edison Electric Institute - Emergency Recovery and Emergency Assistance Awards
The Edison Electric Institute awarded Entergy with the association’s Emergency Recovery Award and Emergency Assistance Award. These honors recognize Entergy’s exceptional power restoration efforts after a widespread winter storm and tornadoes in December 2012 and its assistance to Alabama Power after severe storms in March 2013. This is the 16th consecutive year Entergy has received an EEI national storm restoration award. Including this year’s two honors, Entergy has received 21 awards from EEI during the past 16 years for its restoration and mutual assistance work.

Chartwell’s Best Practices in Customer Service, Marketing and Outage Communications Awards - Silver Medal
Each year, Chartwell, Inc., a specialized information provider for the utility industry, uses its awards program to recognize excellence among electric and gas utilities for projects, programs and service initiatives that are best practices in the industry. The 2013 Silver Award medalist for Outage Communications went to Entergy. Entergy was recognized for its "deep dive" approach to garner customer feedback to create an outage communications process that keeps customers informed and makes them feel cared for and in control.

Entergy Nuclear received two of 10 Top Industry Practice process awards presented at the annual Nuclear Energy Assembly held in Washington, D.C., and hosted by the Nuclear Energy Institute. American Carbon Registry - Innovation Award
The American Carbon Registry, a nonprofit enterprise of Winrock International, recognized outstanding environmental achievements of trailblazing organizations with awards based on the organization’s guiding principles of innovation, quality and excellence. The Innovation award went to two pioneering entities that made possible the development and piloting of a revolutionary U.S. carbon offset methodology for deltaic wetland restoration: Tierra Resources and Entergy Corporation. The methodology, developed by Tierra Resources with funding from Entergy’s Environmental Initiatives Fund, creates a pathway through the sale of carbon offsets to raise much-needed funds for wetland restoration.
Target Rock Advisors - Sustainable Utility Leaders Index
Entergy was named to the 2013 Sustainable Utility Leaders Index by Target Rock Advisors. The index is a stock index for guiding sustainable and socially responsible investment decisions while recognizing utilities that have excelled as socially responsible corporate citizens. Entergy is among 24 utilities named to the index from approximately 150 publicly traded U.S. energy utilities considered.
Edison Electric Institute - Emergency Recovery and Emergency Assistance Awards

Edison Electric Institute - Storm Response and Assistance Awards
Entergy Corporation was recognized by the Edison Electric Institute for the 13th consecutive year with its national storm restoration award. This award recognizes Entergy’s work in restoring power following a wide-ranging snowstorm that struck the southeastern region of the country in December 2009. Entergy also received an EEI Emergency Assistance Award for helping restore service to customers of American Electric Power Co., Inc., in Kentucky and West Virginia. AEP requested restoration assistance after some 395,000 customers lost electric service during the peak of the storm.

The judges found that “Entergy clearly exhibits the spirit of communitas, a Latin word that means ‘people coming together for the good of the community.’"

Entergy Corporation was honored for its support of the Teach for America program to add 650 teachers to public schools across south Louisiana. He has established a record-setting performance as the only power industry CEO to make the rankings every year since they began in 2004. It also received EEI’s Emergency Assistance Award for helping Public Service of Oklahoma following a December 2007 ice storm and AEP Texas after Hurricane Dolly in July 2008. Investment experts have ranked Entergy Corporation among the best companies in the United States – and the very best in the utility industry – for effectiveness of their corporate investor relations programs. The market research firm Greenwich Associates, which provides research and consulting to global financial-services companies, conducted its annual survey in early 2007 of more than 700 investment analysts. The survey ranks a public company’s investor relations efforts against industry peers. Entergy ranked at the top of the list in the utility industry and finished third of all the approximately 200 public companies across the country receiving 10 or more survey evaluations, the minimum number needed to be included in the rankings.

Edison Electric Institute’s Emergency Assistance Award
Entergy Corporation received its 10th straight award from the Edison Electric Institute for restoring power following extreme storms. The latest award recognizes Entergy’s help returning power to 46,000 Public Service of Oklahoma customers after a January 2007 ice storm. Entergy has received either EEI’s Emergency Storm Response or its Emergency Assistance awards for 10 consecutive years. It is the only company to be honored each year since the awards were created. Entergy has won three Emergency Storm Response Awards for its efforts restoring power to its own customers and eight awards for assisting other utilities repairing their systems.

For its response to hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Entergy Corporate Communications won PR Week’s crisis communications award for 2005 and was also awarded the top prize for overall public relations performance of the year. PR Week praised Entergy’s hurricane communications work as “among the great crisis responses of all time.” It was the first time any crisis communications honoree had ever won the top award. "A corporation’s crisis response depends a great deal on its preparation," the magazine said in a special edition. "But Entergy Corporation was faced with a series of events that few could have anticipated—ones that directly impacted customers, employees and shareholders alike.”

Entergy Corporation and its CEO J. Wayne Leonard received top honors at the prestigious Platts/BusinessWeek Global Energy Awards in December 2003. Entergy Corporation was named the "Global Energy Company of the Year," and Leonard was recognized as the energy industry’s "CEO of the Year." This marks the second and third Platts/BusinessWeek Global Energy Award Entergy has won. In 2002, Entergy was named Platts/BusinessWeek’s Power Company of the Year for its nuclear growth strategy. In selecting the Energy Company of the Year, the judges looked for overall excellence in the production of energy. The range and extent of a company’s activities--its diversity, scope, technological innovation, and environmental concern--are pivotal for this award, as are the traditional values of care for the consumer and efficiency.
Georgetown University Business Leader of the Year
The undergraduate program of the Robert Emmett McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University named Entergy Corporation’s Chief Executive Officer J. Wayne Leonard as the Business Leader of the Year in October 2003. Leonard delivered the keynote speech at the McDonough School’s annual Business Day on the Responsibilities of Leadership. The McDonough School has honored a Business Leader of the Year since 1981, in recognition of outstanding leadership in the business community and service to others.
Southeastern Electric Exchange Industry Excellence Awards
Entergy won second place in the distribution category at the recent Southeastern Electric Exchange Industry Excellence 2003 Awards Program for the company’s work developing the Automated Mapping and Facilities Management system. Entergy won the award on describing the decision to implement a state of the art facility management system that would improve and optimize the process of creating, maintaining and utilizing distribution facilities data. The AM/FM system replaced the problem-plagued process of using multiple manual and computerized systems used to organize and gather distribution data.

In Institutional Investor magazine’s 2003 survey of portfolio managers and securities analysts, Entergy CEO J. Wayne Leonard was named one of the Best CEOs in America, and he was the top utility CEO to make the list. The publication surveyed 1,374 professionals at 405 investment firms representing $4.5 trillion in equity assets and listed the winners in 62 industry sectors. The executives were judged on corporate governance and several other factors: growth in earnings, stock price, the ability to manage mergers, communicate with shareholders, take companies into new directions and foster teamwork.

Entergy Corporation was among only 22 companies in 2003 worldwide that received a perfect score from Governance Metrics International, the corporate governance research and ratings agency. GMI announced new ratings for 2,100 companies globally. Edison Electric Institute’s Emergency Assistance Award
Providing quick and critical assistance to neighboring companies in the wake of a devastating ice storm won Entergy Corporation the Edison Electric Institute’s Emergency Assistance Award for 2002. Entergy was honored for assistance provided to Kansas City Power & Light and Oklahoma Gas & Electric following a severe winter storm that ripped through Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri in 2002.
Edison Electric Institute - Outstanding Electric Company Customer Service - National Accounts
For the fifth consecutive year, national account customers across the U.S. singled out Entergy as one of the electric utility companies offering the best customer service.
Dow Jones Sustainability Index
Entergy successfully met the stringent qualifications and criteria to remain listed on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for 2004. This is the second year in a row that Entergy has been selected for the listing, and the company is one of only three U.S. electric utilities to be listed on the index. The Dow Jones Sustainability Index is similar to other index funds; however, DJSI listed companies must not only demonstrate strong financial performance, but must also show outstanding leadership in environmental and social commitment. Listing as a DJSI company is a significant achievement in Entergy’s quest to be viewed not only as a company with outstanding financial performance, but also as an environmental leader in the utility industry and a company committed to the communities where it does business.

Platts/BusinessWeek Global Energy Awards
Recognized as the "Global Power Company of the Year" at the prestigious Platts/BusinessWeek Global Energy Awards held in New York City. The international panel of judges recognized Entergy for its nuclear growth strategy that has created one of the nation’s most efficient and safest fleet of nuclear plants. The award also recognized the company’s commitment to the environment. The judges recognized that by increasing megawatts and efficiency, production costs and ultimately Entergy’s customer costs are reduced; and by increasing the percentage of demand met by nuclear power, Entergy minimizes pollution emissions. Entergy currently owns the second largest fleet of nuclear plants in the U.S.

The National Fuel Funds Network presented the 2002 Sister Pat Kelley Achievement Award to Wayne Leonard, CEO of Entergy Corporation. The Kelley Award, recognizing individual achievement on behalf of low-income families, is the Network’s highest accolade. Nearly 25% of Entergy’s 2.6 million customers qualify for federal assistance to the poor.

Entergy successfully met a set of stringent qualifications criteria and was added to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index World. As of September, 2002, Entergy is one of only three U.S. utilities among 15 utilities worldwide listed on this 300-company index. Membership on the DJSI is awarded to those companies that score in the top 10% of eligible companies in terms of economic, environmental and social performance. Entergy has 10 VPP Star sites, including Little Gypsy, Waterford 1&2, Waterford 3, Sterlington, Arkansas Nuclear One, River Bend Station, Grand Gulf Nuclear Station, Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station, James A.
