Entergy Again Named to Dow Jones World and North America Sustainability Indices
Positive outcomes of company’s sustainable business practices recognized
NEW ORLEANS – Accomplishments in economic, environmental and social performance in 2012 by Entergy Corporation (NYSE: ETR) have been recognized by the 2013/2014 Dow Jones Sustainability World and North America Indices. Entergy is the only U.S. company in the electric utility sector named to the World Index.
This is the 12th consecutive year the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, which measures the sustainable value companies provide to stakeholders, has included Entergy on either its World or North America index or both.

Top scores were awarded to Entergy in areas across economic, environmental and social dimensions, including:
- Water-related risks
- Human capital development
- Corporate citizenship/philanthropy
The Dow Jones Sustainability Index annually invites the world's 2,500 largest companies from 59 business sectors to participate in an in-depth analysis of sustainability performance. Companies are assessed against their peers in 24 focus areas, including occupational health and safety, customer relationship management, climate strategy and corporate citizenship and philanthropy.
