Entergy Receives 2020 HIRE Vets Award
Entergy has been awarded the HIRE Vets Medallion Award for the third straight year. The company is one of only 58 employers in the country who have earned this award three times since the inception of the program in 2018.
The HIRE Vets Medallion Program recognizes employer efforts to recruit, employ and retain veterans. The 2018 HIRE Vets Medallion Program Demonstration allowed the U.S. Department of Labor's Veterans Employment and Training Service to raise awareness and enable 239 employers to gain acknowledgment. Awardees must have a veteran organization or resource group, a leadership program, dedicated human resources professionals, pay differential and tuition assistance program. The HIRE Vets Medallion Award is the only federal-level veterans' employment award.
"It's an honor to be recognized for our efforts to recruit, hire and retain American's veterans. Veterans are represented in all areas of our company, especially in our operations areas. Our veterans employees provide ready-now expertise and leadership for important roles across our company as we continue toward our goal of becoming a premier utility," said Kathryn Collins, Entergy's senior vice president and chief human resources officer. "We couldn't do it without them."
