Entergy Mississippi storm update – 5/7/25, 6 p.m.
05/07/2025

Great progress has been made in restoring power due to outages from the high winds, heavy rain, lightning and thunderstorm activity in Entergy Mississippi’s service territory that occurred overnight Tuesday and early Wednesday morning. As of 6 p.m. today, approximately 79% of the customers impacted have been restored, down from the peak outage of 10,948 customers.
Over 600 crew resources including linemen, damage assessors, vegetation workers and support personnel are working to provide restoration for these customer outages.
Many customers that can safely receive power are expected to be restored by 11:59 p.m. tonight. However, at this time, some outages will extend beyond today, particularly in the more severely impacted areas as shown in the chart below with estimated restoration times given. As we continue to identify damaged equipment, restoration times will be updated. For updated estimated restoration times throughout the day, view our outage map at www.entergy.com/view-outages. These estimates are subject to change if there is additional weather impact.
