Entergy Texas storm update – 5/28/25, 2 p.m.

05/28/2025

Entergy Texas crews worked through the night to restore power to customers affected by severe storms that brought heavy rain, strong winds and lightning across Southeast Texas Tuesday. As of 2 p.m., approximately 2,900 customers are without power, which is down from the peak of 31,760 customers without power early Tuesday morning.

The majority of the remaining outages are in the Conroe area, where crews are repairing poles and equipment damaged by fallen trees and storm debris. In addition to standard bucket and pole trucks, teams are utilizing every tool available, like backyard machines, track machines and excavators to aid the restoration effort.

Overnight, crews successfully restored power to approximately 1,750 Conroe customers and will continue working throughout the day until all customers are restored.

Entergy Texas encourages customers to sign up for outage text alerts by texting REG to 36778 or through their myEntergy account. Customers who are already enrolled should ensure their contact information is up to date to receive timely updates.

More thunderstorms and heavy rain are forecast for Southeast Texas today and throughout the week. These conditions—including lightning, strong winds and saturated ground—may slow restoration in some areas. As long as weather conditions remain safe, crews will continue working to turn the lights back on as quickly as possible. Entergy Texas understands the challenges service interruptions can cause and appreciates the community for their continued patience and understanding.
