Progress continued today in restoring power to 96 percent of the customers impacted by the round of thunderstorms with high winds, lightning, and reported tornadoes that moved through the Entergy Mississippi service territory Saturday night.
Entergy Mississippi issues updated restoration times. Estimated restoration is Tuesday night for majority of remaining outages.
As of 6 p.m., crews have restored power to about 60% of the outages caused by this storm, with about 17,800 customers remaining without power.
Entergy Mississippi crews, contractors, tree trimmers and scouts are working diligently to restore power to more than 45,000 customers following the recent severe system. As of 9 a.m., Entergy Mississippi reports less than 36,000 customers are still without power.
Entergy Mississippi has successfully restored power to all customers whose homes and businesses could safely take electricity following Hurricane Francine.

Just 36 hours after Hurricane Francine’s landfall, Entergy’s workforce has returned electrical power to 65% of impacted customers in Louisiana, New Orleans and Mississippi. Crews are restoring power as safely and quickly as possible; however, assessment continues in some areas.
