Entergy on Black Enterprise's ‘50 Best Companies for Diversity’ List

02/05/2018

Entergy has been recognized by Black Enterprise Magazine as one of its 2017 50 Best Companies for Diversity for the fourth consecutive year.

The list honors companies that recognize the link between diversity and engagement. To make the annual list, companies have to demonstrate best practices in four areas: senior management, board of directors, supplier diversity and employee base.

Black Enterprise began publishing its list of the Best Companies for Diversity in 2005 to recognize companies that champion professional inclusion of people from all races and demographic groups.

Creating a diverse and inclusive workplace is one of our shared values. We achieve this through effective teamwork and inclusion, an employee practice used to guide our behaviors, and by recognizing diversity as a business imperative that helps us achieve business results.

"It is an honor to be recognized for our ongoing efforts to create and maintain a diverse and inclusive workplace," said Andrea Coughlin Rowley, senior vice president of human resources and chief diversity officer. "We are committed to valuing and leveraging the richness of a diverse workforce so that every employee has an opportunity to contribute in significant ways to the success of our company and to grow and develop while doing so."

Other companies included on this year's list include Coca-Cola, FedEx, McDonald's and Walmart. Click here to view the complete list.
