Keeping your rates as low as possible; 21%below the national average
Whether you’re a grocery store owner, a school administrator, managing your household’s expenses, or overseeing a hospital or manufacturing plant --- every dollar in your budget matters. That’s why we’re proud to say last year our rates were ~21% below the national average.

Powering our future
The first phase of our Accelerated Resilience Plan is now underway, strengthening more than 3,000 structures and upgrading over 60 miles of power lines to better withstand extreme weather. These improvements are critical to reducing outages and improving restoration times after storms.
We’re also modernizing our power generation with advanced technologies and a diverse mix of energy sources. This approach not only supports our clean energy goals but also helps us keep costs low. By staying flexible, we can better manage fuel price fluctuations and continue to deliver affordable power to our customers.
8 Ways We’re Keeping Energy Costs Low
- Building a storm-strong grid. By upgrading our grid to withstand stronger and more frequent storms, Entergy New Orleans customers will save an estimated $1.2 billion in avoided storm costs.
- Modernizing our generation fleet. Modern technologies equal better efficiency, and our new, modern power generation sources help us, and our customers meet clean energy goals, and offer us the flexibility to lessen the impact on your bills should one fuel source spikes in price.
- Building a power generation mix. Using a diverse range of power sources makes our system more reliable, efficient and cost effective for customers.
- Managing fuel costs. We’re in a constant state of trying to procure fuel at the lowest price available. Fuel costs are never marked up, so customers pay exactly what we pay. Also, having a variety of power sources helps shield customers from fuel price fluctuations and enhances grid reliability.
- Recruiting new power partners. By bringing new, large customers into our service area we create new jobs and dollars for the region and lessen the energy cost burden for residential customers.
- Putting money back in your pockets. During the 2024 tax season, Entergy helped low-income customers across our service area receive $55 million in federal tax returns. We help customers save additional dollars through other federal funding resources including LIHEAP and Single Stop, and we offer The Power to Care – our bill assistance program for qualifying customers.

Through our partnership community organizations, we put money back into our customers’ pockets when they need it the most. During the 2024 tax season, Entergy assisted low-income customers across our service area in securing $55 million in federal tax returns. Additionally, we help customers maximize their savings by connecting them with federal funding resources such as LIHEAP and Single Stop. We also offer The Power to Care, our bill assistance program for qualifying customers.
