Entergy’s River Bend Station employees host Livonia High School students
Community engagement is key to the plant’s long-term success
ST. FRANCISVILLE, La. – Students from Livonia High School Jobs for America's Graduates program joined Entergy's River Bend Station team to learn about nuclear power and the different careers onsite.
During the students’ visit, River Bend employees discussed their careers and how specific skills helped them become who they are today. Speakers ranged from the site's operations, training, safety and maintenance departments, one being a local from Pointe Coupee Parish.
"Accountability and ownership are key in everything you do. You can do anything you set your mind to with those behaviors," said Jason Rivet, River Bend Station site mechanical maintenance superintendent and Pointe Coupee Parish resident.
