Action requested due to demand potentially exceeding available generation
Freezing rain, snow, and sleet arrived in the Entergy Mississippi service territory Sunday and into Monday morning. Extremely cold temperatures have accompanied this storm and are expected to last for much of the week. As of 9 a.m., about 3,080 customers are without power and our crews are restoring power where it is safe to do so.
Entergy Mississippi is continuing to prepare for extreme winter weather starting Sunday. The forecast calls for extreme winter weather across the state through Thursday, Feb. 18, bringing with it the potential for outages.
Entergy Mississippi is closely monitoring forecasts of a winter storm expected to bring freezing rain and ice accumulations starting Sunday. Low pressure is expected to track eastward across the Southern Plains and Lower Mississippi Valley into early next week.
