Action Requested Due to Demand Potentially Exceeding Available Generation
Entergy’s Louisiana storm crews are continuing to assess damage and restore power where it is safe to do so after a winter storm brought extremely cold temperatures, freezing rain and large amounts of ice accumulations to the state Sunday and throughout Monday.
Entergy’s Louisiana customers are asked to voluntarily reduce their electricity usage, especially between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. this evening.
Winter weather continues to significantly impact portions of Entergy’s service area in Louisiana, with approximately 60,000 customers without power as of noon.
Entergy Louisiana crews are on standby across the state as the utility prepares for snow, ice and freezing temperatures statewide beginning tonight and into the week.
