Crews expect to restore power tonight to the vast majority of customers affected by a storm system that cut through Louisiana Saturday, with all remaining customers in the hardest hit areas who can take service restored by Sunday or Monday.

Significant damage in some areas will extend restoration in some areas.

Severe thunderstorms caused outages Friday night and Saturday morning throughout much of Entergy Mississippi’s service area. As of 1 p.m., about 32,000 customers are without power.

As predicted, severe weather continues pushing to the east today through the Entergy service territory. Restoration is underway.
