In honor of Power Plant Worker Appreciation Day at Entergy Nuclear, meet Victoria “Tori” Stroburg, a mechanical maintenance supervisor at Waterford 3 Steam Electric Station.

Stroburg supports her team to complete plant maintenance safely and with quality to help improve plant reliability.

“I interface with other departments and use cross-functional engagement to foster multidiscipline maintenance,” said Stroburg. “I also advocate for the craft to help improve morale through teambuilding and positive reinforcement.”

She began working for Entergy in 2022; however, she began her career in the nuclear power industry in 2006.

“I started my career as a helper with the construction and engineering company Day & Zimmerman, and I worked my way up through the ranks,” she said. “Working many years in the industry has taken me all over the country and to multiple nuclear sites. Prior to Waterford 3, I worked at Palo Verde Generating Station in Arizona as a maintenance mechanic in their water reclamation facility.”

The people she works with make her proud to work in the nuclear power industry.

“I have been all over the country to many nuclear plants,” Stroburg said. “I have worked in different departments and in many different roles. What never changes at every plant and on every job is the quality of the people I work with. I am especially proud to be a part of the team of quality craftsmen here at Waterford 3. The people I work with everyday are quickly becoming family.”

Stroburg explained how one of her favorite aspects of her role is being a supporter of nuclear energy.

“One of my favorite things about working in the nuclear industry is that I get to be an advocate for nuclear power and educate the people in the community on the importance of what we do,” she said. “I also get to provide the public with safe and reliable energy by ensuring we implement quality maintenance.”

Although Entergy Nuclear observes Power Plant Worker Appreciation Day on September 6, we are grateful every day for the commitment of our employees to deliver clean, carbon-free energy safely 24-7, 365-days a year.
