Second Entergy Arkansas Solar Project Begins Operation

The Chicot Solar Energy Center began operation Sept. 30. The facility has a peak capacity of 100 megawatts of energy powered by the sun, enough to power 18,000 Entergy Arkansas customers’ homes.

Entergy Arkansas Hosting Virtual Open House Through Friday for Walnut Bend Solar Project

Entergy Arkansas is hosting a virtual open house regarding the proposed Walnut Bend Solar Project now through Friday for residents in Brinkley, Marianna, Forrest City, Wheatley and surrounding communities in Lee County, along with other interested parties, to review and receive information.
Walnut Bend will be the fourth utility-scale solar generation asset for Entergy Arkansas customers. The first, pictured here, was Stuttgart Solar, which went into service in 2017.
