Entergy Louisiana, LLC has restored power to all customers who can safely receive it after Hurricane Zeta significantly damaged the electric system in south Louisiana, including in hard-to-access coastal areas.
After four days of restoration work, Entergy’s storm team has made significant progress in power restoration, returning power to more than 416,000 customers.
At the peak, the Category 2 storm knocked out power to approximately 480,000 customers in Louisiana. Crews have restored power to over 80,000 customers as of 9 a.m. Thursday morning.
Entergy’s Louisiana utilities are prepared to mobilize a storm team of approximately 3,800 workers to respond to any impacts from Tropical Storm Zeta.
While the path and intensity of Tropical Storm Zeta could change, the companies are preparing for the enhanced risks of severe thunderstorms, strong winds, heavy rains, high tides and coastal flooding in portions of Louisiana.
