Entergy Names David Borde Vice President, Investor Relations

Entergy Corporation (NYSE: ETR) announced today that David Borde, director of Entergy's utility finance business partners, has been selected as the company's vice president of investor relations effective March 2016. Borde replaces Paula Waters, who will move into the position of vice president, utility sales and development services, in the utility business. Waters will report to Theo Bunting, group president, utility operations.

Entergy Reports Third Quarter Results

Entergy Corporation (NYSE: ETR) reported a third quarter 2015 as-reported loss of $4.04 per share, including $5.93 per share of non-cash asset impairments for Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station and James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant. Entergy recently announced plans to close Pilgrim and today announced the closing of FitzPatrick. On an operational basis, earnings were $1.90 per share in third quarter 2015. These results compare to third quarter 2014 as-reported earnings of $1.27 per share and operational earnings of $1.68 per share.

Entergy to Close Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station in Massachusetts No Later than June 1, 2019

Entergy Corporation (NYSE: ETR) announced today that it will close its Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station in Plymouth, Mass., no later than June 1, 2019, because of poor market conditions, reduced revenues and increased operational costs. The company notified the independent system operator of the electric grid, the ISO New England Inc. (ISO-NE), that as of that date, Pilgrim would not participate as a capacity resource in the market. The exact timing of the shutdown depends on several factors, including further discussion with ISO-NE, and will be decided in the first half of 2016.

Entergy agrees to sell Rhode Island natural gas-fired power plant to Carlyle Power Partners

(NYSE:ETR) today announced that its wholesale generation division, Entergy Wholesale Commodities, has entered into an agreement to sell its 583-megawatt Rhode Island State Energy Center (RISEC), located in Johnston, R.I., to Carlyle Power Partners. The facility is a natural gas-fired, combined-cycle generating plant that entered commercial service in 2002.
