Ashley Peterson is a customer service representative for Entergy Arkansas and has been part of the Entergy family for almost 13 years.

What is your power principle at work? The Serenity Prayer. It helps me to prioritize and know where to put my energy; to identify alternate solutions to getting things done; and to direct my attention to the positive.

What is your proudest moment? When I was 17, I went to live for a year in Germany, where I didn’t know anyone and didn’t speak the language. I did it again when I was 24, in Mexico, for three months. Those experiences completely reshaped my life. Two skills I really honed were the ability to constantly adapt and to not take myself too seriously.

What is the best work-related advice you've ever been given? When I first started at Entergy, it was really emphasized to me that it was possible to have a diverse, challenging, and interesting career right here at Entergy. This has been absolutely true.  I’ve had roles in Entergy Arkansas economic development, regulatory, work management, and now customer service. Each job has been very different from the last and required unique skills, but each has complemented the next in some way.

What has been your favorite project at work? I enjoyed being a part of Entergy Arkansas’ Stuttgart Solar Project. Being a part of a sustainable energy project allowed me to witness a major shift for our company and made me feel like I was part of our future.
