Entergy Partnering on Powerful Tools that Help Reduce Poverty

The inaugural Smokin’ Hot Cook-Off was held recently at the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum grounds. The cooking was serious, but the day was about fun, fellowship, and giving back, as all proceeds benefited local charities.
LIHEAP is a critical service that helps low-income residents manage heating and cooling costs. The program is literally a lifesaver for many, as increasingly severe temperatures can threaten the health and welfare of the 25 percent of Entergy customers who live in poverty.
Employees from Gerald Andrus plant in Greenville, Mississippi, recently teamed up to make dreams come true for a local resident.
