An update on rolling outages
Hurricane Laura entered the Entergy Arkansas service area Thursday morning with heavy rains and tropical storm winds ranging from 40-50 mph and wind gusts up to 65 mph.
Entergy’s Louisiana storm team is continuing to assess damages and restore power where it is safe to do so after a devastating Hurricane Laura exited the state Thursday afternoon.
We continue acquiring more resources for our restoration teams, with more than 16,750 currently ready to restore service for customers whose power may be affected by Laura.

At 8:15 a.m., 280,278 customers were without power. Given the intensity of this storm and the additional need for our crews to follow COVID-19 precautionary measures, hardest hit areas may experience outages for weeks.
As of 8:00 a.m., Entergy Texas has 102,500 customers without power.
