Violent storms that ripped through southeastern Louisiana on Tuesday spawning multiple tornadoes have caused severe and extensive damage to Entergy's electrical infrastructure, slowing efforts by more than 1,000 restoration workers diligently trying to restore service to customers.

Entergy crews are out in force working to restore power to the thousands of customers affected by the violent storms that swept across south Louisiana throughout Tuesday.
Storms sweeping the state on Tuesday may possibly spawn tornadoes, damaging winds and torrential downpours. Entergy Louisiana is prepared to respond to power outages as the system progresses and has additional crews ready to respond as needed.
Entergy Louisiana LLC is sponsoring Super Tax Day -- a free tax preparation event provided by local volunteers and community advocates for working families. The event will be held on Feb. 6, 2016, at Baton Rouge Community College, 201 Community College Drive in Baton Rouge. Volunteers certified by the Internal Revenue Service help local residents determine if they qualify for the federal Earned Income Tax Credit program and other refunds and credits due.
